Water Soluble Compound Sizing Agents
Desizing is where most of the water, energy and effluent cost of sizing actually sits. These grades desize in hot water at 80 to 90 degrees with no enzyme at all, which takes a whole chemistry out of the downstream process.
WHAT IT IS
Designed around how it comes off
Sizaltex water-soluble compound sizing agents are designed to simplify both the sizing process and the desizing process. A single, fully soluble sizing solution is used, with no binders, mixers, or polyvinyl alcohol required. The compound forms a uniform protective film on warp yarns, improves performance during the weaving process, and functions as a complete PVA replacement.
During desizing, the same water solubility eliminates the need for enzymes. Fabrics desize cleanly using hot water alone, reducing chemical load, energy consumption, and effluent impact while improving productivity and efficiency of the process.

The cleanest desizing route we make
Most sizing chemistry is judged at the size box. This range is designed backwards from the wash box, because that is where the mill’s water, energy and effluent bill is decided.
Enzyme-free desizing
Hot water at 80 to 90 degrees is enough. No enzyme to buy, dose, hold at temperature or dispose of.
Time and resources saved
A shorter desizing route, with the enzyme dwell time and its separate handling taken out of the sequence.
Lighter effluent load
Fully soluble with no binders, so what comes off the fabric is size rather than size plus enzyme residue.
Better pick-up, lower dosage
Wet pick-up improves by 25 percent, so the same performance comes off a lower dose. Less chemical on the yarn, less to wash off, and a real step towards a mill’s sustainability targets with nothing given up on the loom.
