SOLUTIONS  ·  COMPOUND SIZING

Compound Sizing Agents

One cooked sizing chemical, built on native maize starch modified in our own plant. It replaces the starch, binder and lubricant a mill would otherwise blend on the floor, with no PVA and nothing that survives the wash.

Sized warp sheet on the loom

WHAT IT IS

Fewer variables in the size box

A conventional recipe is assembled on the floor. Starch from one supplier, a binder from another, a lubricant on top, proportioned by whoever is on shift. Every one of those is a variable.

A compound grade arrives already cooked to a fixed recipe. Nothing is proportioned at the mill. Viscosity and film behaviour stay where they were the last time the beam ran.

WHY MILLS SWITCH

Sized for the loom, judged at the wash box

A size that weaves well and washes off badly moves the cost downstream rather than removing it. This range is built to pass both tests.

No PVA, no binders

Native maize starch rather than a synthetic film former, so what comes off the fabric is starch rather than something the treatment plant has to deal with.

Easier desizing

Desizes with the regular enzymatic process. No separate route, no separate chemistry, no extra pass.

Time and resources saved

One cooked product instead of three components proportioned on the floor, so batch-to-batch consistency holds and reruns stop being a source of waste.

Sustainability targets met

Biodegradability from 80 to 100 percent, lower COD and higher BOD, and OEKO-TEX, GOTS and ZDHC Level 3 documentation ready for the audit.

THE RANGE

Three published technologies, matched to the warp

Dosage is always set against your own count, loom and weave. Our technical team recommends a starting point and adjusts against your trial results.

WHERE IT FITS

From warp beam to clean desizing

Eight stages, from warp beam through to desizing, and the sizing box is only one of them. Recipe consistency decides whether the loom runs or stops.
